LOOKING FOR INFORMATION: I have a framed copy of the "Night of Black Glass" broadside signed by Mr. Ellison. It is #247 of a limited edition written and printed to benefit the Clarion Writers Workshop in 1981. Hard times may require that I sell this prized possession, but I am unable to find any additional information in order to judge its current value. Is there another HE fan out there who could give me a fair idea of what I should ask, if I am, indeed, forced to sell? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Wanted: Life-Size comic props, need not be major brand name, but must be quality items...
Looking for:
Captain America's Shield
Green Lantern's Ring
Wonder Woman's Tiara/Bracelets
etc.

On September 13th, 1997 Harlan appeared on "West Coast Live with Sedge Thompson", KQED (National Public Radio) in San Francisco. The show was taped on this date. I'll make it worth the while of anyone who can get me a tape of this program. Also, in mid to late September, 1997 H.E. appeared on "Between The Lines" a PBS program that airs in S.F., Philadelphia, and Chicago. I'd prefer a video tape, but I'll settle for an audio tape. Can anyone help? Thanks, Shane
I currently have up for bids on eBay the complete run of Harlan Ellison paperbacks published by Ace in the early 80's. Please check them out, as it is a great opportunity to obtain them all in one auction. Good luck to all, and feel free to email with any questions. The eBay auction is number 1483833999.
I would like to get a copy of Strange Wine in fairly good nick. I have given up hope of it ever being reprinted in my lifetime. I've waited two decades and it ain't going to happen. As a teenager in the 70s, I bought a copy of the paperback and it eventually fell to bits after the spine broke.
I've been collecting Ellisonia for going on three decades now, and have quite a few duplicates I'm willing to trade for Ellison items I need. Most items I have for trade are magazine appearances, comics, and some paperbacks (and a few hardcovers). I'm looking for other early/rare magazine appearences and a few early paperbacks/hardcovers, such as an early ed. of Gentleman Junkie. Please contact me if you have any items for trade.
very useful rental cell phone in Beijing, Shanghai and other China cities
I traveled on the silk road last month, and I found rental cell phone service offered by an American company Tourfone LLC very helpful. A cell phone in China gives me great security, not mention the convenience, so I am recommending this cell phone rental to all American travelers. You can find detailed into at www.tourfone.com! But for your convenience, the cost is Rental fee $2/day, call rate starts $0.18/min (local), $0.72/min (int'l). You can receive your phone number immediately when you order online. And you can pick up your cellular phone at airports, or have it deliver to your hotel. By the way, Tourfone also provides China hotel reservation services at group discount rate (starts from $34/night)
I have one copy of The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction March 1973. The cover story is "The Deathbird". The cover has some wear and the pages are not white, but you can read the stories(which is really what it's about isn't it). Make me a decent offer and it's yours.
I have all manner of Ellison appearances on TV and want more. I am willing to trade what I have for what you have. If interested please respond. I have many SciFi Buzz episodes; Tom Snyder; Psi Factor; and Politically Incorrect.

I'm looking for a copy of Sex Gang by Paul Merchant published by Nightstand in the third edition. I believe it was published in the 1970s. Only seeking a copy in excellent condition.
Steve Brown.
Just a quick heads up about Barney Dannelke . The guy is a straight up fan of HE and it would do all of us a bit of good to have the same attitude.

Looking for Harlan's review for Tim Burton's original Batman movie, and his (unedited) essay on Batman Returns. His Batman review appeared in the October 1989 issue of The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, and I believe that his Batman Returns essay was printed in Reflex #26 from July 1992. If you have either of these magazines, and are interested in selling them, please contact me. (note: I reposted this ad because I gave the wrong email address below)

Did anyone record all of Harlan's sci-fi buzz shows? At one time I had taped 5 or 6 of them but my daughter inadvertantly recorded a program on our vcr over the Harlan footage.
If anyone has a copy of his segments, please let me know.
Any rabbit holes would also be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Sean
Am looking for any Ellison hardcovers, prior to Shatterday (1979). Will dicusss price, but must have proof. Would really
like copies of Alone Against Tommorow, Approaching Obliviion, and
I Have No Mouth... I DO NOT WANT BOOK CLUB EDITIONS!
Dear Janice,
I just saw your request for a book when I was looking over the Ellison Webderland page. Just yesterday I was talking to a bookseller friend of mine and recommended a book-finding homepage called BIBLIOFIND.COM so I decided to try to find your book on it as a test. It apparently searches databases provided by booksellers all around. So I typed in Nightshades and Damnations, but nothing. Then I typed in Gerald Kirsch, but nothing again. So as a last resort I typed the story title you mentioned, "Whatever Happened to Corporal Cuckoo?" and BINGO! No, the Nightshades book didn't appear, but I did find another book with that story. One bookseller is offering it for $29.95 and another for $7.50. And I noticed you were spelling Kersch's name wrong, so maybe that was the trouble with Amazon.
The free Rabbit Holes have been claimed. Thanks for all the replies.
For Sale: Two hardcover HE books in good condition with plastic covered dustjackets. $5 each book plus S&H
The Essential Ellison
Slippage
Also for sale: Paladin of the Lost Hour CD, no scratches, case and all in good condition. $3 plus S&H
Finally, free to good home: Rabbit Holes 2-4,6-22,24. You pay S&H. First come first served.
I am looking for the Father Tom Vaughn LP "Joyful Jazz." It is an out of print Concord album which has not been reissued on CD. It has a version of "Battle Hymm of the Repblic" that is a total gas. I would like to have played as the recessional at my funeral. I don't plan to die for awhile, but then one never knows but what that day might come sooner than anticipated.
The cover art for the UK paperback version of 'The Beast That Shouted Love At The Heart Of The World' which I painted back in about 1976ish is STILL available...I'd like it to go to a good home rather than sit in my pile of paintings.....I reckon $150 plus the cost of shipping...which will probably take it up to about $200....hey I'm nearly GIVING it away! But I'm that sort of guy!!!
I am trying to locate someone who has an audio tape of Harlan's appearance on KGO 810 AM radio, on the Shann Nix show, taped or aired around 09/03/97. If anyone can help me with this I'll make it worth your while.
Thanks,
Shane
Does anyone have the words to the video/speech that Sheridan of Babylon 5 fame made to his unborn child?
I am looking for anyone who might have extra ticekts to the LA Times Festival of Books on April 30th...Harlan Ellison is scheduled to give a lecture at UCLA and the tickets were free. Unfortunately, I missed the opportunity to get tickets (by 2 measly hours!). Anybody have extras?
I would like very much to buy a copy of Gerald Kirsch's Nightshades and Damnations. It seems to have disappeared from the face of the earth-- Amazon.com doesn't even pull it up in their out-of-print search. There's a great fable in it called (I think) "Whatever Happened to Corporal Cuckoo?" I was describing this story to one of my students and realized I hadn't seen my own copy of this book in a long time-- probably on permanent loan somewhere. I would like to replace it, of course!
Please e-mail me with price, etc.
Thank you,
Janice Mastin-Kamps
Hello, all-
I live in the Los Angeles area, where BEYOND 2000 is, as far as I can tell, unavailable. Can anyone help me acquire copies of a few of these? There are four that I would like to hear. Actually, I'd like to hear all of them, but I would not ask anyone to tape the whole series.
Also, I was unable to locate a copy of the 600th AMAZING STORIES. Did anyone pick up an extra for sale?
Lastly, I have a copy of the, "I have no mouth..." cd game, and I cannot get the sound to work. Anyone else have that problem? I have tried to locate CYBERDREAMS, but they do not seem to exist anymore.
Thanx, Mike
If anyone is looking for the PC game of "I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream", I have listed one on Ebay. It even has the way cool 3-D mouse pad included. Go to this link to check it out.

I'm looking for the section in "The Glass Teat", about "Our Little Miss Pageants". As a child, was involved (not by my own free will), and am writing about my experiences. Would love Harlan's opinion on the matter. Can't find the book anywhere, and probably couldn't afford it anyway. Just need that part. Thanks so much, e-mail me please at rnr98@hotmail.com

Hello folks,
As a sort of lifetime exercise in masochism I am working on a biography of Harlan Ellison.
This is not an authorized biography but I have known Harlan since 1977 and he has grown tolerant of this enterprise. He sends me tapes and sort of hints at where I may encounter problems and we get along fine.
At any rate, this has forced me to become sort of an Ellison collector. Toward that end I am always looking for the following:
1.] Letters by Harlan or citations to obscure publications that have published Harlan’s letters.
2.] Fanzines or prozines that have articles or stories by or about Harlan. Particularly from the 1950’s, although I know there were plenty of fan press items about Harlan that were not cited in the Swigart bibliography from the 1960’s and 1970’s, so these would be equally welcome. Other examples of gaps would be SFWA bulletins and articles published in SF Chronicle, SF Review, Thrust, CBG etc. Also, early LOCUS.
3.] Convention booklets. This is both to establish a chronology of appearances and to help me get in touch with con committee members.
4.] Audio or Video tapes of local appearances of Harlan.
5.] Any unpublished photos of Harlan or originals where rights can be obtained.
6.] Any story or anecdotes about Harlan from any verifiable source.
7.] Spanish, Russian, Polish, Greek, or Japanese editions of his work.
8.] Regency paperbacks out of Evanston Ill. from the 1960’s.
9.] Ohio State University Sundials from the Early 1950’s.
In addition to a biography, I am also helping Tim Richmond with a comprehensive bibliography of Harlan Ellison which is slated to be published sometime in 2000. Toward that end, if you have, or know anybody who has any of the above material, and they are not willing to part with the original, please have them consider parting with a photocopy, or dub, or scan, for reference and citation purposes.
While I can and will pay cash for any items I need to further these two projects I imagine I will frequently be dealing with other Ellison collectors. Many of you I already know.
Let’s work something out.
You have tapes? I have tapes you don’t have.
Fanzines - ditto. You see how it is.
Any help with either of these two projects will be appreciated AND acknowledged. New information will be cited, either in Tim’s book or, eventually, in mine. If you don’t have any material like this now, but travel in these circles, please hang on to this letter/e-mail. My project is long term and Tim still has a few months. If you know somebody who has this sort of information, please feel free to pass this letter along to them along with my address and phone information.
I think that’s it for now. Thanks for your time.
Regards and best wishes,
Barney Dannelke

I'm looking for a copy of the video game "I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream." I can't find it anydamnwhere and it's driving me nuts!
Seeking a copy of the record "On the Road With Ellison, Vol. 1". Thanks in advance for any info, and a batch of my home-made white bean chicken chili to the person who helps me obtain it.
Does anyone know where a copy of Strange Wine can be found? I've been looking for it for years, and I'm starting to think it doesn't really exist :-)
Looking for hardcover good condition copies of Dangerous Visions and Again Dangerous Visions...last girlfriend stole them, the minx.
I have been looking for Edgeworks 5. Does anyone know where I can get a hold of it? I have checked bookstores, Amazon.com (eek!), and many other resources. All of them know it's around but none of them seem to be able to get a copy.
I have a hardcover copy of Approaching Oblivion I am auctioning off over on Yahoo! It is a book-club edition with no dustjacket. So it's probably a reader copy. But it is a hardback. Looks nice on the shelf.
I am asking $3 for it (of course I hope that an unexplainable mania overcomes you and you offer me much more) but I'd be okay with the $3.
The auction is at:

I'm also selling other stuff that you probably don't want.
Thanks for your time.

Looking for either of the 2 Harlan Ellison cards from the Babylon 5 set (there's one in series 1 + one in #2). Don't get goofy, these have a value of 25¢, I just don't have a local outlet. Also looking for the much rarer ones fron the Dangerous Visions (+ other?) bookstores. While I'm at it howzabout a FOE (Friends of Ellison) button too?? + any "sell" lists (books, magazines, vdeo, etc.)
I have a signed 2nd ed Ace pb I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream from 1983, in mint condition. As it is my second signed copy of this book, I'd like to trade it for any other signed HE books (except The Beast... which I also have).
Desperately looking for a VHS copy of the New Twilight Zone epdisode made from "Shatterday" starring Bruce Willis. Can anyone help? Thanks!!!
Circumstance has forced me to sell some Ellison books from my collection:
--"City on the Edge of Forever" - Borderlands Press, 1995; signed/limited edition hardcover in slipcase, #968 of 1000, as new, very nice book, at cost, $75
--"No Doors, No Windows" - Borderlands Press, 1991; first book in the defunct uniform series; signed/limited edition hardcover in slipcase. #526 of 1000, as new, $55
--"Medea: Harlan's World" - Bantam Books, 1985; advanced uncorrected proof in blue-gray wraps; spine is faded, there's a 1/8 inch tear on the lower front cover at the spine. Signed by Ellison on the title page; includes original cover slick; the slick came to me folded in half, has a few of mild creases and light edge wear, but is still bright and glossy. $28
E-mail me if interested.
Hi, All-
So I taped, "Psi Factor" on 2/22/99, hoping this would be the one that Mr. Ellison was on, and it was a different show. Did it air already, and I missed it? Or what? Does anyone know? I would like to get a copy from someone, if that is possible.
Thanks,
M Smith
