I had intended to do my first entry here, but travel intervened. I am packing this evening and was unable to write a review. Placeholder then, until tomorrow.
- I love to find adventure. All I need is a change of clothes, my Nikon, an open mind and a strong cup of coffee.

Let me say that this may be my favorite Ellison collection. More on this when I get home as I do not have a copy here at work, but the combination of the artwork and the stories achieves a synergy that is pretty rare in literature. The footnotes are also not to be ignored, as they add a ton of conext to the story.

More tonight when I can look over my copy and comment more definitively
Governments, if they endure, always tend increasingly toward aristrocratic forms. No gov't in history has been known to evade this pattern. And as the aristocracy develops, gov't tends more and mroe to act exclusively in the interests of the ruling class
