Hmmm...

Okay.

Not sure how I feel about that trailer.
- I love to find adventure. All I need is a change of clothes, my Nikon, an open mind and a strong cup of coffee.

Yeah, I had some problems with this one. Didn't give me as much insight on this Doctor as the trailer that followed End of Time Part 2. Also, because it is being shown in #D in some cinemas in Britain, it was shot and edited more for effect (oooooh, let me throw stuff at you glass-wearing people) than for substance. Yet, I do like the fact tha Smith's doesn't sound that youngish.

Guess we'll all find out this spring. Series starts in England on April 3rd. BBC America will most probably broadcast it a week or two later. You Tube here we go!

New season of Doctor Who kicks off on BBC America on April 17:

Story has one tiny factual mistake: Neil Gaiman is writing for the next season of the series, not this one.

But they gotta get people's hopes up, don't they?

Give it a chance - can't be any worse than The End Of Time. RTD was JNT but with more money.

True enough. I'm more than willing to give it a watch, it's just that this particular trailer didn't inspire me.

Matt Smith will get a fair shake as the Doctor, at least from this one little burg 'cross the pond.

I'm hoping we may get a return to the Philip Hinchcliffe feel but let's just wait and see.

Matt Smith gave an interview to one of the papers here (Evening Standard I think) saying that the Doctor doesn't have time for romance because he's too busy saving the world. A good sign.

It can only be an improvement on the recent "specials".... Roll on April so we can judge for ourselves.

I'm quite taken by Karen Gillan particularly in the kissogram policewoman outfit but that's probably just the "dirty old man" in me (as Harold Steptoe would say). I used to like watching Deborah Watling Wendy Padbury and Katy Manning so that dates me....

Who's to say that he's not a dirty young man?

No matter how old the shell is.
War is, at first, the hope that one will be better off; next, the expectation that the other fellow will be worse off; then, the satisfaction that he isn't any better off; and, finally, the surprise at everyone's being worse off. - Karl Kraus

Okay... heard it was good. What's the verdict, gang?
The medium is the message.
