Lori! :-D

This is great news! Are you going to stay in the neighborhood but move "uphill"? Or are you going to move out to the avenues? (My plea is that you stay in da hood but just north and east of where you're living now.)
Gwyn

P.S. Call me when you get the chance. I'll take you out for coffee and we can catch up on things.

There's a vacant unit in my building. The landlord's name is Al Habbegger and his cell is (number deleted at Gwyn's request - Mod). I don't know what they're charging for it though.
You probably wouldn't want to use me as a reference [sigh]. We can talk about it over coffee. I've always paid my rent on time but there have been other issues.

But, I hope this thread has helped to make you feel better.

As Oscar Wilde said, "One should always be a little improbable."
War is, at first, the hope that one will be better off; next, the expectation that the other fellow will be worse off; then, the satisfaction that he isn't any better off; and, finally, the surprise at everyone's being worse off. - Karl Kraus

I personally settle for "Unlikely".

It's not helping as much as winning the lottery or finding the marriage partner of my dreams, but it's helping.

You are a doll for being so concerned!

Diane

You'll never know the cosmic perfectness of your post. Thank you!

I've got this friend who does a total nose dive about once every two years. And for reasons I cannot fathom, I tend to go with him. Usually it's a healthy concern for a friend. But this time it's tearing me up in ways I wasn't quite ready for.

He's coming outta it, which means I'll be coming outta it soon. I just have to trust that he's not gonna go around being stupid. He hasn't in the past so I doubt he will this time.
