NYE thoughts

Postby Lori Koonce » Mon Dec 31, 2012 4:15 pm

Well, it's that time again, time to take a look at the year just past.

With that in mind I would like to thank those of you who have chosen to be a part of my cyber life this year. It means a lot to me, despite the strange way I show it at times. This place is one of the few reasons I am getting out of bed.

We outlasted Harold Camping and the Mayans (sounds like a '50's Doo-wop group, doesn't it?)

Welcome to 2013!

Maybe one of you can explain to me why we are so interested in our demise as a species?

Lori, because humans would fuck up a peanut butter sandwich.

We live for the death spiral, because life is just so scary.

The whirlwind, the vortex of dead leaves over the cemetery gate, the squeaking hinge of time, call our names.

Frank, have you ever thought about becoming a poet? You've got a way of expressing yourself that is quite lovely at times

Excuse me Mr. Messer, but there are some things a girl would like to share on a need to know basis. This would be one of 'em, TYVM

Well, truth be told, I did alter the course of the thread a little when I mentioned all the doomsayers we outlasted, which changed the tone a bit.

To rectify, let's remember this: A New Year is a great time to realign one's priorities. But one can do that at any day of the year!
