I'm back!

Postby Kafkahead » Fri Aug 20, 2010 12:12 pm

Fellow Webderlanders

Returning from a period of accidental exile, caused by the intrusion of viruses, digital neuroses and hexadecimal constipations of my computer, which invariably had to be formatted for the sake of my sanity and writing (which also, unavoidably, grounded to a complete halt, a full stop that I came to regret), I AM BACK!

I cannot tell you how much I've missed you all, talking to you, discussing. It was a nightmarish period: both computers crashed, and I had nowhere to write any new ideas. Sure I wrote them at first by hand, but a couple of days later, I realized the rhythm of the stories did not encompass the general rhythm of my writing and left me a bit disoriented (a weird excuse, I know, but I feel I can only write at the pace the story tells me to follow, not the pace that I wish to follow).

At any rate, less complaints for me and more hopes for a Summer ending where I might talk to you fellows a bit more.

K.

Kafka is back. Can Bruno Schultz be far behind?

Hey Kafkamensch,

While you were away I asked you if your country honors the works of international speculative artists, especially writers and whether or not Harlan had been so honored.

Good to see you back.

peace,
Rick

Once again, welcome back. It is difficult to keep one's computer bug-free when the spammers and scammers are so damn busy.

As the pickpocket in Casablanca said, "Watch out! There are vultures here. Vultures everywhere!"

Of course, he said this while picking the person's pocket.
