HE recently mentioned trak-bookshelves or bypass bookshelves as a way to save space. A quick Google didn't really turn up what I think he's talking about. Any pointers in the right direction?

If you do a Google search on "library track shelving" you should turn up some examples of what Harlan refers to. If I'm reading him right, anyway.

I saw a sample of the technology recently for a science library. Not sure how cheap it is...

The good folks at IKEA set me up (some assembly required) but here's a site they may give everybody some bright ideas.
