Obama wins nobel prize

Postby thomaswos » Fri Oct 23, 2009 8:29 pm

Obama wins nobel peace prize. Why?
Hard to believe that a U.S. President can win a peace prize while engaged in two wars.
Can some one please inform me as to why Obama has gotten a Nobel Peace Prize when he has yet to do what he has gotten the prize for?

for things they hope he will do in the future. and most importantly as a thumbing of their collective noses at George W Bush.

Not to mention a general reduction of tensions with practically the entire world, including two nations armed with nuclear weapons and intercontinental delivery systems for them.

It was sort of, "Thanks for making it less likely we'll all be blown up down the road."

I'm starting to soften to the Nobel thingie. I just hope Obama learns from it and proceeds to set the dove free.
