Monday Morning Alarm

Postby K. M. Kirby » Mon Jun 29, 2009 1:23 pm

A loud *CRASH* awakened me, somewhere around 7AM this morning. My latest TV find, a largish 1980's-era Trinitron, had slid from its perch. As the ancient victorian hotel I stay in (a decaying, wooden relic built on gelatinous former marshland) has a demonstrable--with a level, or with a ball placed on any surface--tilt in one direction, I had placed the falling trinitron at a distinct counter-angle, facing forward...and downward.

The way that thing plonked on the floorboards, rippling downward through the support beams to whatever sort of foundation they used back in 1911, I'll be surprised if the resulting shockwave & tremors don't summon a shai-hulud.

Or worse...The Super.

I hate it when that happens. Like goddamn cock-a-roaches. Supers, too.
