Hardly a mention of Gore Vidal on the liberal MSNBC. Shame.

Frank

Which is more important Vidal's death or the fact that Romney is using ought right lies in his campaign?

Which is more important, the death of a writer who got really strange at the end of his life, or that we've not got to worry about the most destructive team in the history of the nation may end up running it.

Possible that Vidal was going senile. Probably why he stayed under cover these past few years.

Chomsky is still a pistol though.

I see you guys didn't burn the place down while I was gone. Good. Had a little bout of appendicitis last Thursday. But I'm home again.

Yeah Mark glad you're ok. Fortunately for me I had that sucker snatched when I had another operation when I was a kid.

As noted elsewhere, it ultimately is good you're home and resting comfortably. No fun to be had n any hospital stay...

Welcome back.

I'm kinda scared. Still have all my vital parts. Maybe heaving ho of certain thangs is good.

Mark, I missed our tiffs.

Thanks everyone. I'm still going to be but shy around the intraweebs for a bit, but things are moving in the right direction.

Diane (and others), I agree, hospitals are no fun as a rule, and this was no picnic, but I was at the Barnes Jewish Center and must say that they were the nicest bunch I've ever been in the care of. I even remember specific names. I was taken excellent care of right from the git-go. So if you gotta be sick in St. Louis, get your carcass to Barnes.

I no longer have an appendix. Everything will now have to be relegated to footnotes.

If they aren't selling that on a t-shirt in the hospital gift shop, they should be.

Well, I'm back on Canadian soil. For good this time (?).

The English adventure was certainly an adventure, the roots here are just too deep to digu up completely. . .
