Diane, have you tried the link that says, "Safe posting for advanced browsers"? It's pretty much how we're all posting to the Pav right now. It's just to the right of the usual link.

Damn.

Had a long weekend attending the wedding of the son of two of my best friends in the world, in Charleston, SC. I met Swanson and Donna when she was pregnant with Zachary so the event had a real trippy timewarp aspect. Good fellowship, good drinkin' and good eatin', a true celebration.

So I was very sorry to come back to the news about HE. I've never had a stroke but I did have intensive physical therapy after being bedridden for nearly three months so I know there are some tough times ahead. HE and Susan have a loyal network of love and support built up over a lifetime, including some of the folks on this very board. You're fortunate not just because you're his friends but because you can help. The rest of us, who have received so much from his work and from his example, can just stand back and hope.

Some of us celebrate. Some of us struggle. Who can pretend to understand?
“We must not always talk in the marketplace,” Hester Prynne said, “of what happens to us in the forest.”

Here's what's weird, I never get sick, except when I have a caffeine headache. I had a cold about 15 years ago. I do have acid reflux, but it acts up only every now and again.

Especially around certain people. :)

Was it Frank? Did I mention you by name? I purposefully left names out of it so this wouldn't happen.

I gave no reason for you to think this... So, ask yourself why you do?

Nope, just really tired of all this one line baiting and not able to muster the verbiage to put you in your place.

There is something valuable to be taken from Harlan's recent event.

Do what you can to avoid stroke. Especially if you've got family/hereditary health issues which may contribute.

Just sayin', as I take my aspirin.

Stroke and heart attacks are both heart diseases Frank. Aspirin keeps the blood flowing despite of any clots. So Ezra is doing the right thing.
