looking back at my 25 points, most of them seem to be pretty trivial. Well apart from the thing about my parents. Maybe I am just not that interesting. or not as interesting as i would like to believe that I am. Or something.

Thats what happens after 18 years of Scotrail employment. You go from being an interesting and pretty cool young guy to being a boring old fart in the blink of an eye. Or does that just happen to everyone and I just didnt notice it?

I think we're all afraid we're pretty boring people in the eyes of others. Well, except perhaps Harlan. I think he knows he's not boring.

I thought your list was quite interesting. Remember, Scottish railmen aren't very common here in the states. Particularly those with a red dragon emblazoned on their chest (and who have a son named Talyn...).

Those are the first 23 references, but I'm having trouble defining numbers 24 and 25.

You're doing better than I am Steve. I can come up with 5 things I wouldn't mind the world knowing about me, and that's about it.

The really neat stuff is sorta strange, and I need not scare people!!!

Lori,

I found writing the 25 Tings about me list to be a rather fun and cathartic experience. I was talking about it with Paul Hull, and the truth is that I had no idea what I was going to write when I sat down. I just let my stream of consciousness flow and went with it.

OK, I went to some dark places, but I did not acquire the nickname of Abaddon by being all sweetness and light anyway....

What I am saying, Lori, is post what you want and do not worry about scaring people

I posted my second 25, and am half a dozen into my third.

It's not a question of whether you're an interesting person or not, but how you phrase things, and what you think of to put up. I think anyone can be made to sound interesting -- or rather, interesting things can be found and stated about anyone.

Apparently, the 25 Random Things shtick has caught on in such a big way that it's starting to receive national attention in the press.

At least, that's the north and south of it.

Unfortunately, Steve, you are so right.

A schoolteacher friend of mine wrote some online horror comics. His boss found out, and gave him a huge load of crap about it. He now writes under a pseudonym to protect his job.

I THINK I understand what you mean by "economic vegetarian," but would you explain anyway?

I was on a panel once with a Suicide Girl or two. The subject was pornography, of course. I had forgotten that. Add that one to my next 25 list.

I love Gwynnie's, except for the cop out that is number 3.
She's so intellegint!! I want to meet her!
We should become better people so she'll hang around longer than the other females. That especially goes for Douglas and Harlan. I have already improved by sheer force of will right this minute.

G. de Lofutus wrote:I posted my second 25, and am half a dozen into my third.

That immedeately raises a question: Where?
Not that you would normally get this question but as SPIDER mod I have to be friendly and feign interest. Oops, my delete button doesn't work. Ah what the heck. The main thing is I'm liked by Gwyn.

Barberman wrote:Those are the first 23 references, but I'm having trouble defining numbers 24 and 25.

Steve, we don't care about #24 and #25. Just post what you have.
Um, correction. Make that: We do care but it's okay if you leave the last ones out.

Thank you for the compliment, Jan. :) Back at'cha!! :D

C,mon Jan, you mean you didn't notice at the Burning Man party when my halter top fell off while dancing; I pretended I meant it to happen, picked it up & swung it around my head, prompting others to do the same? You were lounging on the sofa right behind the dance floor... ;)
