Steve, I'm catching up, and haven't heard word, i don't think. How'd it go?

Yeah, Steve. Do tell!

I've got two more auditions coming up soon, and could discuss this subject a lot more here.

Last night I started work on a video to train actors in delivering Shakespearean speech. Could be a fun project.

Well, I felt pretty good about it. My voice didn't crack, I didn't forget the lyrics or get the verses mixed up. I gave a fairly decent cold-reading (as good as cold readings could be I suppose), and the judges seemed impressed. Maybe they were being polite, but it felt sincere, if that makes any sense. I'm often my own harshest critic - I do notice flaws in my performance. But this one went well.

Call backs are next week. We'll see how it goes.

That sounds like a cool video David. . .

Didn't know you were gay Dylag.

No, seriously, you have talent? Good to know. I could have an acting future as well but all I would be cast for would be creeps and serial killers.

Erm.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

(And I'm sure that if Frank realized how sexist the comment reads on the board, he would be the first to chastise himself.)

Barber, sexist? You know me and Dylag are buddies. Remember, I am the guy who kisses other men.

Dylag, please forgive me??

Hey, I got a call back!

They want a different song, but didn't give me much notice - they called Monday. It's about fifteen (nay -fourteen) minutes from now. I think I'll go with the Mary Poppins tune.

Once again, wish me luck!

(By me flowers Frank, and I'll consider it. )

EXCELLENT, Steve!

When's the run?

(I've been waiting on results from auditions for three different shows ... at least one for more than three weeks, which is dang stressful.)

Thanks guys!

Should be a blast. I play the bad guy of the piece, a sleezy businessman who privatizes all the public restrooms.

Rehearsals start immediately, and I think we take stage in February.

I'm particulary pleased because I wasn't at all happy with my call-back. Granted I think they just wanted to see if we could project or not, but the cold reading felt particularly cold.

I haven't sung on stage since High School. I am so pumped!

Good luck with your auditions David. I see now that the anticipation after the fact is not at all fun.
