Barber is softening on the issue. We are making progress.

Fifty years is fine, you should run with that.

Noooo....that's not what I said. I said very explicitly that there should not be an expiration date for personal copyrights -- that it should be "life plus", regardless of when the work is copyrighted in the course of that person's life. And that corporate copyright should hold much longer -- in perpetuity if the company is continuing to use the product proactively (copyrighted characters such as Mickey Mouse, etc., or logos).

Not sure how that is softening.

No, you're right...but I give Frank his own leeway on this, the Frank Church's news corner, thread.

Obama is going to West Bank, but if you do not talk to Hamas how do you expect to make headway? And quit the idiocy about Iran. There is no evidence they have nukes. Iran wants a softening of sanctions and they will stop enriching the bad uranium.

Your naivete is quaint. Why would they, especially if they're close? You need to stop assuming that nations that are different are that different. They have no incentive at all to pass up a chance to acquire power.

Mind giving us some credible cites for this Frank. Thirty five precent is the lowest you can use for a bo b' and they are all ready at thirty. Not to mention that they are trying to get more centrifuges online when they have more than enough for enegry production.

Iran already has power, if they were bombed they would lose more than just power. As a former member of Mossad once said, they are not suicidal.

Lori, Juan Cole is an expert on Iran. Take it in gal.

Lori, why aren't you chiming in on the music thread? Do you not like music or discussion of such? That certainly is less stressful for you than this. lol

Iraq is turning into hell--a hell we caused. While Obama is kissing Netanyahu ass Iraq is turning into torture, rape, death central. I may be sick:

Some idiot in San Francisco wants more of a buffer zone around Planned Parenthood.

Hey, moron, there is a thing called free speech. I hate to advise you on this but right to lifers have it as well. Sure, some of them can become real buttholes, but we all have equal rights, even the ones you don't agree with. Fancy that.

This is why liberals lose arguments.

We can have that argument when atheists start trying to prevent people from entering churches. Meantime, privacy has a place even in a public venue.
