Hey Jon,

I tend to think we're a closed society. If we're stuck together, we begin to fight one another like kids stuck inside on a rainy day. We snipe at each other all the time and, yeah, it gets stupid and personal. But when attacked from the outside, we tend to stick together. And I can't recall when we sent a raiding party to an offending web site to start shit with the locals there.

But I see exactly what you're talking about every day here.

Reverend Ted,

Excellent points, well made. We disagree, but I respect the manner in which you present them. Thanks. And welcome.

Well crap! That doesn't give us anything to bittery insult each other over. This is no fun. I'm going home.

An interesting post from Gabe, the man who started this all...

"Since the con I’ve had the opportunity to learn a little bit more about Mr. Ellison. Many of you have sent me stories about him that are pretty amazing. He’s certainly very well known in the Sci-Fi community. Honestly I think it would be cool to be friends with him. I think he might know Timothy Zahn. "

Bear in mind that Gabe is a Star Wars fanatic from my understanding.

It looks like the trolls are finally trickling to a slower crawl. I'm surprised they even know how to crawl--the slugs.
