Ezra One of my fondest Skify con memories is due to Kerr Avon. I had spent the last bit of my cash to attend the final BayCon in 87 or 86, A friend of the friend I was staying with needed help manning a consession booth she and her totally absent partner bought. I spent the time I wasn't running aro...

Robo You're point is well taken, but that would make Trade paper back editions (where several issues of comics are collected in one edition)of comic books Graphic Novels. And they are no where near the same! But, I pick up my Dream Corridor tomorrow, so maybe the best way to approach this is to let ...

Gang It was just a topic of conversation, nothing more nothing less. My buddy Vance teases me a bout a lot of things. I don't take 'em personally, and neither should any of you! Just wanted to make sure that I had my facts straight before stating an opinion. I truly agree with HE when he says "...

Comic books Vs. Graphic Novels

Hey Gang! Help me look not quite so foolish. My best friend and I were talking about my ordering Dream Corridor #2. He claimed I was buying a comic book and I emphatically told him it was a graphic novel. When pressed to tell him the difference, I really couldn't come up with a damned thing. I don't...

A quick question for Susan

Name: Lori Koonce

Susan

Do you have any sort of a limit on how many years a person can sign up for the HERC at any one time? I was thinking about a two or three year commitment.

Thanking you in advance for your answer!

Ezra And all this time I thought me and my bestest bud were the only two who fondly remebered Blake's 7 It should have been an indication of seriously strange sexual perversion that the character I chose to fall for was not the good guy, and always seemed to dress in leather  OFW, things could...

Hey Carey Frist of all a heartfelt THANKS. Sometimes this place and the pavy make me feel very invisible. Your kindness, amongst others, proves otherwise! As for the religion stuff, I said it once and I'll repeat it; all the major worlds religions have the 3 basic fundamentals: 1. Love your God/godd...

Ezra I was trying to find some information to despute your statement on Fundie Christians and this is the best I could come up with. It's a paragraph from the Berkley Daily Planet, the student run paper for UC Berkeley. The article was published "According to the May 10 Gallup Poll 86 percent o...

Hey Loftus

Thanks! While the circumstances aren't exactally what I'd have hoped for, I've always wanted my name to become a verb.

Now all ya gotta do is get the OED to accept it, and I'll immortal!

I can like you again LarryF! :D

You've got a great attitude, and are TOTALLY right about the people you mentioned.

Just to clear things up a bit for those who may need it. I think of fundanmetalism as trying to get down to the brass tacks of a religion.

I think I'll just create a word pad doccument, and keep it on hand for the constant apologies I seem to be making. Just edit it accordingly.

Barney, so sorry for the missunderstanding!

You may want to see if places like Amazon UK or UK online video stores may have what you are looking for. Barber has a good point though, the show is rather old. I'd concentrate more on a particular Dr. then the entire season. And while I'm remembering my manners, WELCOME! A fresh voice is always we...

Just a question Can someone explain to me why we have to lump all christians together? I consider myself both a christian and a liberal. And a lot of my beliefs are the fundie ones I grew up with. But on social causes i'm a bleeding heart, flaming liberal. But, if you really think about it all the w...

Frank Let's be honest here for a moment. I think the kind of cynisim you have takes awhile to acquire. And I lived a sheltered enough life that I didn't have it at the time I viewed that movie for the first time. But, now that I've acutally talked to a variety of people of the 50's-70's I realize an...
