Re: Wathcya watchin'?

I envy that first time experience as well. You'll cry a bit, I suspect, Tony. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Speaking of crying, tonight was great, then I got my heart ripped out by Beasts Of The Southern Wild . I was doing just fine until the to-go lunch at the end, then the tears fell. Damn fine movie makin...

Re: Peluquero Redux

I hope that the final move is accomplished with great sighs of relief and a chorus of Hallelujah ringing throughout the halls. Congratulations, or perhaps I should say, cheers!

Paul, how goes the secession? http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-fix/wp/2012/11/19/the-worst-candidate-of-2012/ "The gap between what was expected of Perry and what he delivered coupled with incredibly high profile of the race in which he chose to flop makes Perry a clear choice for worst...

Re: Great Bumperstickers

Along those lines "Jesus loves you, but the rest of us think you're an major asshole" I always thought a great bumper sticker/pin/poster would be George Carlin's adage, "God bless everyone. Right in the mouth." I once had a powder blue button that had a baby pink triangle on it ...

Oh my god. Chuck, I just now read the past week here. Brother, you have my deepest commiseration. I'm glad you can be with family. Stay strong, good man.

Petty squabbles indeed.

Another satisfied customer! What a psychology lesson... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLoqti0lzAw Ezra - That third link is frankly terrifying. I tried. So help me god, I tried. But I have friends who are taking medicine for schizophrenia, and I have friends who are just plain assholes, and it hur...

Re: Frank Church's news corner, the sequel.

Sorry, forgot this op-ed piece from the same mag. Sometimes that INFOWARS mentality is backed by a few facts. I had my first old-man "What is this world coming to?" moment with that one. Might not have been the first, my memory isn't what it used to be. http://www.austinchronicle.co...

Good luck, Diane!! ~~~~~~~~~~~ Haven't been here in a while, pretty busy. But I thought I'd pass along a piece that ran here in the local free paper. Interesting information, for what it's worth. http://www.creators.com/opinion/jim-hightower/helping-republicans-find-real-voter-fraud-in-america.html ...

Re: THE PAVILION ANNEX

Diane, I hope you had a great time in the play, with many more to come. I have a bit o'the acting bug myself. Many extroverts do, I suppose. :)

Californians, how do you feel about Prop 34? I've always been amazed at the back and forth over the years there.

Re: THE PAVILION ANNEX

But he never seems to laugh. In my mind, when I run what I read through that filter that makes a movie behind my eyes, I see the scene in John where the Pharisees brought the adulterous woman before Jesus and said that according to Moses' law, she was to be stoned to death, then asked him WWJD? And...

Re: Peluquero Redux

Son, as in the 9 year old furball cat. Never had a single problem in all the time we've been in either residence, but early this year we (and apparently the surrounding counties, according to the news) had a virulent flea problem. We got it all done, Frontline, house treatment, etc., but what appear...

Re: Peluquero Redux

I am so angry at situations where words are inadequate. Please accept mine and Kats' deepest commiseration. Our boy is sick at the moment, and the future always looks fuzzy when viewed through tears. I am sorry for your loss.
Courage, mon ami. Time heals not, but helps. Damn.

Re: THE PAVILION ANNEX

Has anyone heard from or contacted Diane since yesterday? I think a few here may have her e-mail, I do not. Please all, keep us in the loop, okay? Diane, keep the faith, my sweet. I feel every knock that raps ugly on this board. In the ups and downs and backs and forths of this sometimes silly life,...
