Re: The Good News Thread

We've all had major meltdowns on the board, or at least words we wish we could retract. For what it's worth, we all like having you around here, Gwyn, regardless of your attitude! Sigh. Steven, I don't know if you saw my post before I deleted it, but it started with "pork swords" a...

Re: Depression

Iain, Wow. That just sucks shit, pardon my language. I agree with you that is totally inappropriate. For one thing, who knows how long that relationship will last and poor Talyn will just end up getting attached to an adult who will later get cut out of his life for reasons Talyn doesn't understand....

Re: Depression

Thanks Steve, the whole not fun thing has begun. Donna was meant ti bring my son over to see me as he has been away on holiday. She didnt show. I have asked if I can have my son tonight. She is ignoring the message. In many ways this is all good for me. I can take it to my lawyer and it will then b...

Re: The Good News Thread

Thank you, Chuck. I've since been in contact with my psychopharmacologist and have gotten some good meds, which I needed. Things are getting better. Having friends like you and all the folks on this board helps a lot.

Re: Depression

Oh Iain, that just sounds so hard. I wish I had some sage advice, but I'm the Queen of "Love 'em, Leave 'em, and Kick 'em to the curb". Attachment, love, and commitment have never been my strong points. I'm a serial monogamist. When I'm down, I eat ice cream and watch "The Dirty Dozen...

We know you have that Goblin tape.

It's ABBA, Frank, and it belonged to Chuck's significant other back in the day. :D Along with the Captain and Tennille and Shaun Cassidy.

Re: THE PAVILION ANNEX

Diane, San Francisco is better than nifty. It's possible to live skinny here, as both Lori and I can attest, the weather is better than LA's, and the homeless people aren't vicious, they're either mentally ill or dying of diseases generally thought of as being wiped out in the early 20th century. LA...

Re: The Good News Thread

Steve, thank you for the response. It means a lot to me. Seriously. I just had a major meltdown on the main board and now I feel like an ass. Which I am, so, well, there you have it. Being a children's entertainer is a very special talent and that sounds just wonderful! :) I'm truly sorry the perman...

Re: Peluquero Redux

Some thoughts on Ray Bradbury's impact on my life. http://thumbnailtraveler.blogspot.com/ That's lovely, Steven. My childhood was in a small Iowa city much like a "Bradbury" town. I used to chase autumn leaf whirlwinds in the playground and think of filming "Something Wicked This Way...

So, how's the trucking business? I know what you mean about feeling rusty from not having written in a while. Off on a cross-country gig? :)

I've been gallumphing through the MURDOCH MYSTERIES as fast as I can. Terrific show: a forensic police procedural set in 1890's Toronto with an absolutely stellar ensemble cast, (Yannick Bisson, Jonny Harris, Thomas Craig, & Helene Joy), truly fine writing, and just a lot of fun. If you have Net...

Re: Old Car Getting Too Expensive

Hi, Chuck, If you live anywhere near LA, I have a friend who is in-cred-i-ble at finding dependable used cars for people. He's the Harry Potter of the Dominion of Car. We're on FB together, I think you're in my friends list too, yes? I'd be happy to introduce the two of you to each other. Cheers, LG

That's great, Steve E! :D

I know I should know this but, what is "supply teaching"?

Are you teaching in an urban area or in a village somewhere?

Re: THE PAVILION ANNEX

Lynne thank you for your post. You make it sound very tempting. I guess the resolution comes down to a question of courage and finances. Hi, Diane, Yes, I do understand. Just think of it as rock climbing. Get three secure points (foot, foot, hand; or hand, hand, foot) and then you can move the othe...
