Re: Wathcya watchin'?

If we are talking on-screen crushes, allow me to submit Uma Thurman and Michelle Pfeiffer in Dangerous Liaisons (or Pfeiffer in Ladyhawke). Jaw-droppingly gorgeous

Diane, just do what I do and block the little troll. That way, you can simply ignore his inane postings. If you need help in how to do this, shoot me an emil or a Facebook message and I can walk you through it

Re: Wathcya watchin'?

Agreed, I was very impressed with this version. It is a short film, about an hour or so, but it moves along at a very fast pace. Cannot wait to see what is done with Whisperer in the Darkness and wonde what Lovecraft tale will be done next.

Re: Wathcya watchin'?

Actually, that is a very good idea that I may steal in the future. Karen often has difficulty hearing a hard British accent, so turninig on subtitles might help her on films like Sherlock Holmes. Thanks!

Re: Wathcya watchin'?

If they had not called it Sherlock Holmes, I woul have said it was an OK, enjoyable film. That was NOT Holmes. I know A-T C liked the movie but I came close to throwing a shoe through the screen at several points

Re: Wathcya watchin'?

Do not blaspheme against the wonder that was Manimal! If it weren't for the machinations of people like Noam Chomsky, the world would have seen Manimal in its full glory!!!! Alas, much like Cop Rock, it was cut down well before its prime.

Re: Wathcya watchin'?

While I like The Walking Dead, it only has been on the air for one season. It is ludicrous to have it listed as having any impact whatsoever. Having Buffy that low is a joke, it could legitimately be called one of the best and most influential shows of the 1990s. Plus, any list of influential shows ...

Re: THE PAVILION ANNEX

Still have no idea why you are attempting to have a constructive argument with someone who is clearly incapable of having one. Personally, I prefer finding other organizations that use the acronym CIA that could be in control of the world. I like Barber's use of the Culinary Institute of America and...

Re: Frank Church's news corner, the sequel.

Working in HR, I get to see a lot of employee's names. My favorite one was when I was at the paper, there was a guy on our flor whose name was My Hyman. My was a little Asian guy, and tended to move rather quickly through the hallways. I was always afraid that I would accidentally run into him, knoc...

Re: THE PAVILION ANNEX

Now, waitaminute, there are too such things as Jewish genes. In fact I wore a pair when I saw Barber a few weeks ago. OK, so a guy in a clothing store said I needed a "denim intervention", but still....... The rationale I have heard about the law of halacha being matrilineal is that there ...

Re: THE PAVILION ANNEX

Chuck, while the author did provide several updates to the reactor meltdown(s) in Japan, I would be curious to see what comments he would have now, as that situation continues to worsen. While it is true that there has not been a nuclear explosion, nor is one possible, the likelihood of severe radia...

Re: Whatcha reading?

My lady recently picked up for me the Complete and Unabridged Lovecraft and I am loving it. Whiel I have most of these stories in one collection or another, there are several I had never encountered before, including an absolutely hilarious piece titled Sweet Ermengarde (Or, the Heart of a Country G...

I could easily pack some snow off to anyone who wants some, especially considering the piles of snow on the corners of most streets that are taller than me
