Re: Peluquero Redux

Congratulations. I can't actually find it on Amazon or iTunes yet, nor listen to anything on the home page, but I'm sure it's only a matter of days.

Jaaaaan...come back..... Youtube in Germany has been blocking (and deleting) way too many music videos for me to do this because last year or so the contract with the record industry ran out. Let's let this thread sink down and open your own ones. Latest good stuff from UK singer-songwriters: Ellie...

Re: 1961 - GENTLEMAN JUNKIE

THERE'S ONE ON EVERY CAMPUS (1959) - A student dates - but doesn't like to be seen with - a girl known among students for sexual willingness. - One of the few stories related to his year-and-a-half at Ohio State University. The incident may well be true, which would put the story among Harlan's unf...

" Punky & the Yale Men " (1966). A successful Hollywood novelist returns to New York where he spends the night out with two well-educated men who want to re-acquaint him with the seamy side of life. - See also review by Ben Lomax. Another autobiographical story in fictional guise that ...

Mark, I've moderated your post, as you can well see. Let me know if you want it another way. You had probably forgotten about the DC2 thread. Thank you for posting. By the way, there is also a Vic and Blood thread. I'll include such links in the top post when the thread is underway. Have read Punky ...

Re: David Loftus redux

Maybe things look different at your age, but I thought I was suggesting a climax? :) The daughter, it seemed like she was supposed to be entering college. But from her one doesn't get the sense that she still needs her parents much or that any worries are justified. They should have caught her strip...

Re: Discussion

Back of course and on pg.3 of Punky & the Yale Men.

Did I mention we need a comics thread? Phoenix Without Ashes, Spirit, Dream Corridor 1, Hulk...
Still hoping for a basic On the Road with H.E. thread too.

Never heard of a commercial done on spec. Interesting. Who did the voice-over? You, one hopes. I think the husband should have been sort of honestly typing/waiting and be slightly puzzled by what the lady says. His line should have been something like, "Didn't I tell you we have fast internet n...

Re: Advice, please

As you know, Harlan puts aside stories he can't complete and finishes them later, often years later. You may also simply need a new WAY IN. Everything loses momentum after a while, and perhaps that's what you sense. Finding a new way in means changing the angle of attack, deviating from your plans, ...

Just open a thread here. BTW, I don't think David or anybody has quite done Vol. 1 justice.

I am gone for two weeks, so if anybody needs something technical done, try Steve or Duane.
Instructions on how to use graphics etc. are somewhere on page one of this thread.

Re: Discussion

Re: On the Road with H.E. It's time we did at least put something about one of the CD's here because they are available to interested parties and put money in the right pockets. Whoever does it should do it the way that feels right to them. Everything can be fixed, modified and expanded easily later...

Mark has posted comments on "Punky & the Yale Men" that I moved to the LOVE AIN'T... thread. I salute him. I haven't read the story and won't have an opportunity for several weeks. I will also add a thread on "Corpse" and may add one for "A Prayer for No One's Enemy"...

Re: bottles, for your information, in Germany we take empty bottles back to the store. There's a pretty general €0.25 ($0.30) deposit on plastic and 0.15 on glass and smaller plastic. Aluminium containers are not very common.
