Re: Wathcya watchin'?

Chuck, Breaking Bad was worth the time watching!. I like gritty TV like this, something real, not callow people on reality shows.

Re: Spill yer guts.

Of course, once it's finished I'll email a complete copy to anyone who wants to know the ending! I'm going to avoid posting the completed story on the Internet.

Thanks!

Re: Spill yer guts.

I'm planning to continue posting incremental progress on this, but I will hold off doing any Internet posting once it's completed. At that point, I'll try submitting it - does anyone have a suggestion as to a publisher? It'll be less than 10, 000 words, so I think it will be categorized as a short s...

⇔ The Garden “So what’s up with the old man stuff?” Dom had double-timed it and reached Edde and Taun without any difficulty. Physical exertion made him high here, apparently. He felt like he was full of glue and rocket fuel. The Gallery was behind them as they entered a new area which was a single ...

Re: Spill yer guts.

Chuck, I liked the edits. The addition of “humanity’s fast-forward erosion” was a good one. The extra comma is cool, too. I hesitate to comment on commas because I use them too much and then end up editing them all out! Here is an unformatted text block of the new story bits... ⇔ The Gallery He stop...

Re: Spill yer guts.

Chuck, I feel something different in this latest poem which I can't quite put my finger on at the moment, but I like it a lot. You're developing a distinctive style, please keep writing and posting here, I love reading your stuff! Steve, thanks for the encouragement! I love this thread, too. I've wr...

Re: SCIENCE VS RELIGION

My uncle was diagnosed with routine, treatable colon cancer back in the late eighties and he refused treatment because that would interfere with God's will. He died a relatively young faithful man. I'm sure my aunt and their children missed him. I remember wondering then, why wouldn't it have been p...

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone, Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone, Silence the pianos and with muffled drum Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come. Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead Scribbling on the sky the message He Is Dead, Put crepe bows round the white necks ...

Re: Running vs Bug Collecting

I would like to clarify a point. I've heard many rumors that "running" adherents are claiming that Frank Church is the Creator of Running vs Bug Collecting. This is blasphemy! I can prove my point with scripture, for did not Steve Evil say "Hmm. . .maybe that should be a thread!"...

Running vs Bug Collecting

Well, I'll start off. I'm not a big fan of bugs, and I'm REALLY not a fan of running so all things being equal, I'm putting my support behind Bug Collecting. I'm now a true believer in Bug Collecting.

Thank You All!

Mark - I have a special place in my heart for Martin Barre. I was a huge Tull fan, once. Still am, I guess!

A new pleasant discovery. When I get too blue, I listen to music like this...

Re: Spill yer guts.

Here is some more of the short story. Lori, I take your point, and my long term plan is to try and get this published if it turns out well. I've purchased a blog website and I'm working on building it, and next time I'll publish the story there, where the formatting is correct. I find it hard to rea...

Re: Copyright vs Copywrong

I think this is the way it should be. If I create something unique that can be held in a hand, seen by an eye or heard by an ear then I own it, it is my property and also therefore my inheritors property in perpetuity. I’m allowed to profit from this asset just as if it were a business, because real...

Ben W., I wrote this diatribe in a fit of passion yesterday and then held off posting it until I could read it again. Please don't take the tone of my post to be a direct attack on you, in my opinion you have comported yourself well in this thread. My anger in the post comes from frustration with re...
