Re: Whatcha listening to?

Frank Church invited me to this discussion, so anything I post that no one likes is entirely his fault. Also, these are merely my random observations after having perused the recent posts in this thread, and are not to be taken as direct challenges to anyone here personally. Obviously, you are free ...

Re: THE PAVILION ANNEX

Ugh, I am gonna have to start spot-checking my Pavilion posts. Especially the ones I make at 5am.

Re: THE PAVILION ANNEX

Here is the soberest, smartest word I have read yet on SOPA/PIPA, written by a television writer. http://calitics.com/diary/14115/confessions-of-a-hollywood-professional-why-i-cant-support-the-stop-online-piracy-act The argument continues to be selfish greedy copyright owners vs. freedom loving free...

Re: THE PAVILION ANNEX

I just want to step and say oh nooooo Mr. Wyatt, the semester from hell is most certainly NOT over, not quite yet. Not until I have completed my 6-page paper on The Search for Distant Galaxies for my Astronomy class and a self-bound book collecting my Design class assignments. Seeing as the world re...

Re: THE PAVILION ANNEX

Before you go, thanks for your intervention in my Facebook post about the Post Office. A classic example of some of my friends' part of just blathering and bitching away without a single fact. I may have to marry you online when you get back.

Re: THE PAVILION ANNEX

Inevitably, the camping out will have to stop and something more substantial will have to take its place. A recent poll taken just before the Wall Street 'cleanup' shows public support for OWS dropping, and it was fairly tenuous in the first place, because of all the negative and mostly made-up bull...

Re: THE PAVILION ANNEX

I went over to Occupy DC on Saturday to see for myself all the defecating, fornicating and unauthorized lactating that was apparently going on (I am married and in my 40s so I'll take whatever defecating, fornicating and unauthorized lactating I can get), and what I found was a clean, calm, quiet, r...

Re: Of Star Trek Pictures and Daffodils

How about this for a writers' challenge: actually depict the Enterprise carrying out its mission, going boldly where no one etc., etc.? Make the heart of the plot exploration and meaning and the boundaries of scientific knowledge?

I know it could be done, but no one's gonna do it.

Re: Star Trek review (no spoilers)

Keith, I dunno who this "remarck" character is but I assure you I take no one's name in vain! Except the Lord's. My office is right near the Verizon Center/Chinatown mishmash, and probably the best way for me to do anything is straightaway out of work. Hopefully that is convenient for you ...
