Back in Action - recent Ellison publications topics

Hey, Friends Where's the best place (or places) to look up the most recent Ellison publications and audio recordings? I know I'll be ordering stuff from Deep Shag and Subterranean, which undoubtedly have their own websites, but what else of significance is out there? Where can I order the Brain Movi...

Help! Stories about composers and/or musicians?

Guys: I'm calling on your collective brains and memories to come up with material for a special performance I committed to do early next year. A guy is organizing a music festival here in Portland for early March, called Music Moderne III / Global Village PDX -- with an accent on classical, accent a...

Re: David Loftus redux

Here's another video clip, for those of you who may not have seen the link on my Facebook page. From a short thriller shot here in Portland, called "Ambrosia," I play a police sergeant reporting to the lieutenant on the results of a shootout in a parking garage:

Re: "Grimm"

Thanks, Chuck! I'm so busy elsewhere these days, I just don't drop into the Ellison boards or even the Pavvy very often. I do speak French, but I wouldn't say I'm fluent. I know what it's supposed to sound like, and I've always been a great mimic. What's scary is, I think the other two actors in my ...

Re: "Grimm"

Diane: Shows earlier in the season tended more toward the "X-Files" critter-of-the-week approach to capture audience. The more recent episodes have filled in more of the larger story arc, the considerable back story for the premise, and I've therefore found them more interesting. I just po...

Re: "Grimm"

So . . . my episode aired tonight, and with some dramatic lighting, I really did manage to look like a real badass on national television. Little ole recovering nerd and introverted intellectual me! If you missed it, the episode should be readily available on the official NBC Grimm website for free ...

Re: Whatcha listening to?

My live political talk radio show on the Internet starts in 15 minutes (7 p.m. Pacific, 10 p.m. Eastern). Listen to live streaming audio on the site and call in on our toll-free number to air your opinions, whether it's the religious right's attempt to boycott Starbucks for supporting gay marriage, ...

Re: "Grimm"

If anybody was checking out the show for the first time tonight, please don't judge it on that basis alone. The show's writing has been uneven, and tonight's tale was especially cheap and sloppy, on both the plotting and photography fronts. Exciting, perhaps, but far from the best "Grimm" ...

Re: David Loftus redux

Wow. It's been a long time since I've checked in here! Quick rundown of activities since that Nov. 2010 post. I did get off unemployment, in early February 2011. I think Carole said our household income took a $20,000 dive in 2010, but we didn't feel it too badly because we had already cut back on m...

Re: Friends, I need some love advice!

I wouldn't bring up all the stuff Frank mentions until after you know where you stand with her -- preferably things'll be copacetic, then.

But do let us know how it turns out. We're all rootin' for ya, and we'll be here whether she turns out to be or not, ultimately.

Re: "Grimm"

Thanks, guys!

If you've never seen the show, you can catch up on all the back episodes on the NBC website. They're all there. Carole and I had to watch several of them online because it's sometimes hard to avoid conflicts with the the Friday at 9 p.m. time slot.
